And now, the most obvious addition: rice farming. Embracing the East Asian theme, FS25 introduces two types of rice to the crop selection, each with unique cultivation requirements. Rice saplings, grown in greenhouses, will be used for planting instead of seeds. The fields, which require a special planter, need to be flooded using pumps. While long-grain rice can be harvested with a traditional harvester, short-grain rice necessitates a special rice harvester.
This interesting crop type comes with a unique farming process that is less tedious than some others (we’re looking at you, sugarcane). Our hope is that rice can be further processed at a production point, possibly into rice flour.
