AK-225 v1.0
In the 1960s, the Soviet Navy started developing a type of border patrol boat based on the Project 205 Osa class of ships. The main changes included replacing the missile armament with torpedoes and installing anti-submarine warfare equipment. Additionally, plans were made to improve the crew’s living conditions with larger cabins and an improved air conditioning system. These boats were designated Project 205P Stenka. The first of these ships was launched in 1967, and a total of 137 were built. Over time, the torpedo weapons were removed from the ships. Russia used Project 205P boats as part of its coast guard until 2017.
