The tractor was developed at the Polish-Czechoslovak Tractor Research and Development Center in BRNO, then produced at ZM Ursus in Poland in 1980-1984. Produced in 4,857 pieces. Many of them still work on Polish farms and in smaller quantities in many other countries.
