Precision Farming Configurator is a small addon that adds requested functionality to Precision Farming. It supports rerouting Precision Farming configuration, custom spray types, and adjustable rates for static spray types.
Features
- Allows rerouting or embedding the Precision Farming configuration in a map mod. This is in addition to the normal settings configurable from a map. For example, crops can be removed from the tramline code, or tramlines can be disabled completely. The path is relative to the base directory of the map mod, the same folder as
modDesc.xml. - Allows the use of any spray type with Precision Farming. List the spray type and its group. The group key tells Precision Farming how to handle the custom spray type. For example, liquid fertilizer is handled differently from solid fertilizer, and fertilizer is handled differently from lime or herbicide. The
isLiquidkey tells Precision Farming to handle the custom spray type as a liquid rather than a solid. - Adding a spray type here does not add it to the game. It tells Precision Farming how to handle custom spray types added to the game through a map or other mods.
- Allows adjusting the rate of static spray types, such as lime, by adjusting their
litersPerSecondvalue inmaps_sprayTypes.xml. - Spray type mapping can be added to any mod through its
modDesc.xmlfile. For example, a mod that adds a custom spray type can use the samesprayTypeMappingsection found inmap.xmlto link the custom spray type to Precision Farming. - Custom spray types are auto-injected into buying, selling, loading, and unloading stations.
- Attempts to match the pricing of similar fill types.
- Custom spray types are auto-injected into the fill units of applicable vehicles.
- Custom spray types should now work with fertilizing sowing machines.
- The spray type name is now shown in the Precision Farming HUD.
- More features are intended as more are requested.
To activate, add the following to your map.xml file:
The same thPFConfig section works inside a mod’s modDesc.xml. You cannot reroute the Precision Farming configuration like you can with a map, but you can use the sprayTypeMapping section inside any mod.
In the above example, the Precision Farming configuration has been routed to my test map’s maps/riverbend/config/precisionFarming folder. That folder currently contains the PrecisionFarming.xml file so the vanilla settings can be changed. Anhydrous ammonia and liquid lime were added to this map, and the sprayTypeMapping section was used to tell Precision Farming how to handle the custom spray types added.
The Precision Farming functions were not simply replaced with new code because that can create compatibility issues. This approach allows the original Precision Farming code and any other mods linked to it to continue running.
Changelog

litersPerSecondvalue. - Custom spray types are auto-injected into buying, selling, loading, and unloading stations.

ChangeLog v1.0.0.4
- Configuration changed in favor of static group keys. The old configuration still works, so there is no need to change it if it is already configured.
- Added support for various types of lime. Precision Farming considers lime a static one-fill-type thing by default. Because of this, different lime types and application rates are not supported. This changes that behavior and allows different lime types as well as different application rates.
- Spray type mapping can be done inside any mod’s
modDesc.xml. This part is not exclusive tomap.xml.
