Mud System Physics is a physics mod for Farming Simulator 25 that adds a dynamic dirt system affecting equipment interaction with soil during rainy weather.
The system affects wheel behavior, surface grip, visual effects, vehicle cross-country ability, and the condition of fields and soil.
Features
- Dirt is calculated from humidity in real time.
- Wheels can slip, lose grip, and get stuck in the mud.
- The heavier the equipment, the higher the risk of getting stuck.
- Mud behaves differently on different types of field soil. Plowed fields are the most viscous.
- Possibility of removing vegetation in deep mud, optional.
- The mud system can be turned on or off through the game menu.
- The strength of the viscosity effect can be adjusted.
- The influence of rain can be adjusted.
- Visual effects can be adjusted.
- Vegetation removal can be adjusted.
- There are more than 20 different knobs and switches.
- All parameters can be changed on the fly, without restarting the game.
Changelog
V1.3.6.0
- Optimizations have been added. They are not significant, but they may improve the gaming experience.
- The empty visual tire cache was rebuilt on every call, fixed.
- Unchanged tire deformation was constantly written to the shader, fixed.
- Removed unnecessary physical friction updates.
- The hydraulic grid in local humidity mode was optimized and split into tasks.
- Temporarily removed everything related to
TractorTerrainDynamics. - Improved compatibility with Real Physics Tire Wear.
V1.3.5.0
- Added a script for compatibility with the mod Real Physics Tire Wear.
- Added a warning window if two tire wear mods are used alongside the dirt mod. In this case, you need to choose only one tire wear mod to avoid conflicts.
- Network-related fixes.
- Experimentally added mechanics for dirt particles flying off the wheels when they are cleaned, more precisely, from the mudMesh itself.
- Fixed the outline of the punctured wheel. Invisible nested parts are no longer outlined.
V1.3.4.0
- Improved puncture system; wheel and debris contact has been improved.
- The chances of debris puncturing 2 wheels at once have been significantly reduced.
- Added the ability to approach debris when you see it and remove it by pressing R.
V1.3.3.0
- Wheel dirt in fields during dry weather is now fully handled by the game’s standard mechanics.
- Fixed an issue with loading the wetness of the local mode; migration from an old save version should proceed without problems.
V1.3.2.0
- Optimization of the network component for additional particles. Those playing on servers with the mod should report back; the server-side component cannot currently be fully tested.
- Due to some visual inconsistencies and bugs, the old manual wheel dirt logic mode has been removed.
- Wheel dirt is now handled by the standard logic, but with our data.
V1.3.1.0
- A new parameter in the settings determines how many kilometers the chance of a puncture will be calculated. Previously there was interest per 1 km.
- New mechanics of debris on the roads, dirt brushes. When running into it, there is a high chance of breaking a tire.
- If 2 or more wheels are broken, we install the jack once, and we can remove the wheels, repair them, and so on. Previously it was necessary to put a jack on each wheel.
- Removed old compatibility with the
FS25_VisualMudTracksmod. Use with this mod is at your own risk. - Removed some settings options.
- The logic of dirtying and cleaning the wheels when driving in and out of mud has been completely rewritten.
V1.3.0.0
- Dirt no longer includes sharp speed limits. The physics have been reworked, and mud now slows down vehicles primarily through ground resistance and engine load.
- Problems with box interception have also been fixed.
- Local humidity mode has been completely redesigned.
- When the local humidity mode is turned on in the PDA, the display of humidity layers is added.
- Permanently getting stuck in fields has been reworked.
- The mod settings have been completely redesigned. Some items were completely removed from the settings, and some were hidden. To show hidden settings, you need to move the desired slider and show additional settings in blocks where available.
- The “light” and balanced presets have been adjusted.
- Added to the settings the choice of puncture chance from 1 to 50% per wheel, default 2%.
V1.2.9.0
- Fixed some server-side issues with additional particles on the fields.
- Fixed a bug where, when changing particles in the rain, the particles were duplicated.
- Adapted to the
FS25_useYourTyresmod. Now, the more worn the tire is, the higher the chance of a puncture. - Tracked vehicles should no longer be involved in tire punctures.
- A parameter has been added to the settings determining whether AI workers will puncture tires or not.
- Recalculation of compatibility with the TTD mod, adaptation part 2.
- Fixes for punctures on equipment where there are only physical wheels, but no visual ones.
- On servers, the server now owns the mod settings and distributes them to clients. The settings can be changed by the administrator.
- Tire pressure can now be displayed on vehicles by entering the required block into its XML. Information about this is in the example folder inside the mod.
V1.2.8.0
- Added sounds for tire inflation and puncture repair sounds.
- Dirt speed limits have been increased.
- The jack is less likely to climb onto equipment when placed, and installation detection has been improved.
- The jack has been given a higher lift.
- The jack can now be moved by opening the jack HUD.
- Adaptation to the
FS25_TractorTerrainDynamicsmod has begun.
V1.2.7.0
- Added tire puncture mode. You can turn it off in the mod settings if you don’t need it. With a punctured wheel, the vehicle drives slower and pulls towards the punctured wheel. The wheel can be replaced manually by going to the broken wheel, pressing R, putting the wheel on the ground, sealing it, picking it up, and putting it back.
- A technically new rule has been introduced, a physical coordinator so that possible modes of the mod do not multiply the transmitted data by themselves and the like. Technical part.
- The speed limit in mud has been improved; now mud has become a stronger brake on vehicles.
- Various minor edits.
- The puncture mechanics work like this:
- Each vehicle wheel has a 2% chance of getting a puncture. The mechanics will not be too aggressive.
- Perhaps, if the majority wishes, later this chance will be made a separate setting or simply increased or lowered.
