The Konpaku Engine brake is a simple ON/OFF global script mod. It is a selectable jake brake and engine retarder that allows the vehicle to truly coast while in gear when turned off.
Unlike other mods, this one is not CVT only, Manual Gearbox only mod. It is not an always-on setting, and you do not need to press a clutch key or use pedals.
Features
- In the shop, pick the strength for any vehicle. It multiplies that vehicle’s own engine-brake value:
- Low = 50%
- Med = 200%
- High = 400%
- Drive, then press Ctrl + Left Shift + B.
- ON uses the shop strength.
- OFF is a real coast: engine-brake is 0, so lifting off the throttle does not drag you down.
- The game’s crawl-hold, the full stop once you are almost standing still, is unchanged, so trucks do not roll away.
- This is useful when you want to coast backwards to connect to a trailer.
- The choice is saved with the vehicle.
- The on/off state is saved and synced in multiplayer.
Do not run this together with other brake or engine brake mods such as Adjustable Engine Brake Force or Engine Brakeforce Compensation.
