The first full expansion for Farming Simulator 25 arrives on Monday, October 27, and GIANTS has now shown nearly everything in it. Here is the practical rundown for anyone deciding whether to pre-order before the 10 percent discount ends.
One warning before the list. If you run a long mod list, hold off on loading a Catuaí save with everything enabled, because new crop and animal types tend to expose edge cases in older scripts. It is the same advice anyone gives when a big modding scene meets a big release; the rush to download GTA 6 mods on launch day next month will produce the same broken-save threads, just with a different logo on them. FS players at least have the advantage of a mod hub that tests uploads before they go live.
The map
Catuaí is a Brazil-inspired map named after a coffee cultivar, and the footage GIANTS has shown makes clear it is not a flat farming grid. There are hillsides, a town with a Brazilian look, and distinct zones for bananas and coffee. Six farmhouses are placed around the map, and they age over time, which is a first for the series. More than 80 new placeable objects come with it, many of them region-specific.

Crops and animals
Coffee and bananas are the two new crops, and both have their own harvest chains. Coffee cherries need processing before sale, and bananas are a plantation crop with distinct handling. On the animal side, alpacas and Brahman cows are new. Alpacas produce wool, which is why Update 1.25 added leading and shearing to the animal worker system a week ahead of the expansion. Brahman cows are the heat-tolerant breed you would expect on a Brazilian ranch.
Machines
More than 25 machines and tools are included, with an emphasis on brands and equipment suited to the new crops. GIANTS has shown coffee harvesters, banana handling equipment, and a selection of tractors from manufacturers with a strong presence in Brazil. Expect the full brand list in the launch notes.
Price and bundles
Beans & Alpacas costs $26.99 on its own. The Year 2 Season Pass is $34.99 and includes it alongside the Vredo Pack, SKY Agriculture Pack and the JCB Fastrac Two Pack, so if you planned to buy two or more of those the pass is the better deal. Pre-orders of the expansion get 10 percent off until release.

Mods and compatibility
Expect the official mod hub to be busy in the first week as map and vehicle authors adjust to the new crop types. Update 1.25 is required for the expansion, so anything on your list that has not been updated since October 20 is already suspect, and coffee and banana handling in particular will need fresh fill-type definitions from map authors.
If Catuaí plays as well as it looks, this is the most interesting map GIANTS has made since Elmcreek, and the first one in a while to change what you actually farm rather than just where you farm it.
