This mod makes deep tracks in waterlogged fields visibly fill with water dynamically and adapt to the terrain, without artificial-looking, angular puddles. The water effect also reacts to soil moisture, rain, snowmelt, freezing temperatures, wheels, and your character.
Features
- Deep tracks in waterlogged fields fill with water dynamically and adapt to the terrain.
- A seamless groundwater level beneath the field conforms to the shape of the terrain, including slopes.
- Water becomes visible wherever the ground dips lower, such as in tractor tracks.
- Tracks fill like small basins until the water reaches the edges of the rut.
- There are no square-shaped puddles or floating sheets of water.
- Once soil moisture reaches 10%, the water level rises based on local ground conditions.
- Rain and snowmelt contribute further to the rising water levels.
- In freezing temperatures, the water level freezes solid.
- If “Realistic Water & Soil Management” (RWSM) is installed, the mod utilizes its local soil moisture data, allowing water accumulation to respond to existing ground conditions.
- The native
ShallowWaterSimulationensures that the water reacts to the presence of wheels and your character. - Your character steps into the ruts instead of hovering above the water’s surface, with wet boots included.
- Almost like a rice paddy, but you can still grow corn, wheat, or whatever else you like.
- The current state is preserved in your savegame.
- Multiplayer is supported.
- The water effect is calculated locally on each client.
- The calculations account for ruts, regardless of which vehicle created them.

BETA 0.9.1.5, YOUR FIELD, YOUR TESTING GROUND
The mod is still evolving and needs to be tested across various maps and soil conditions. That’s why it’s in BETA, which means you’re invited to help with the testing.
Report unusual water behavior, visual glitches, or other oddities. A screenshot and the corresponding log.txt file are the most helpful things you can provide. Feedback helps track down bugs and improve the water effects.
