Here’s another mod from FBM
– Fendt Favorit SA Series
– Fendt set a milestone with the Fendt Favorit series. At that time, 6-cylinder tractors were something completely new. Fendt wanted to compete with Eicher and Schlüter and eventually launched – the Favorit 4S.
– The Favorit 4 S/SA was also Fendt’s first tractor with a square hood, as the Favorit 4 prototypes with the round hood had problems with air intake.
– The round hood, which was familiar at the time from the Farmer, Favorit, and Fix series, was therefore no longer used for the new Farmer and Favorit series.
– Furthermore, the Favorit 4 was already equipped with the innovative Turbomatik, with which Fendt, in collaboration with Voith, had set another milestone in tractor construction.
As is typical for Fendt, the S/SA designation indicates the tractor’s equipment:
– S = Standard (30 km/h overdrive and Turbomatic)
– SA = Standard All-Wheel Drive (30 km/h overdrive and Turbomatic, all-wheel drive)
– The successors to the 4S/SA included its slightly weaker brother, the Favorit 10S/SA, which was only available with 80 hp, as well as its larger relatives: the 11S/SA and 12S/SA, which were also visually and technically similar to the 4S/SA.
– The Favorit S/SA series was expanded in 1972 to include the 600 series, comprising the 610 S/SA, 611 S/SA, and 612 S/SA. This series underwent significant improvements in the following two years, and the difference from the first Favorit S/SA 6-cylinder series became increasingly significant.
– The Favorit large tractors covered the range from 80 to 120 hp and were equipped with the Turbomatik stepless automatic start system.
