Sheepfold La Blaquiere v1.0
Sheepfold inspired by a sheepfold located in the Larzac in France. Sheepfold called “Reproach”, in 1973, 3000 people laid the first stones of this one without building permit to fight against the extension of the military camp and to prove that a reasoned agriculture could support families without bringing the planet to its knees. The whole is built of limestone quarry blocks and covered with tiles. The sheepfold, which is large, has a quadrangular plan. Its roof rests on diaphragm arches supported by triangular buttresses. Under the high quadrangular windows that illuminate the sheepfold, the only departure from the Caussenard architecture, is inscribed in various languages the same formula: “weapons have always been the instruments of barbarism”.
