This mod gives tractors the hydraulic front suspension they have in real life. The wheel moves up and down over bumps and rocks, while the links, cylinders and shaft move as well.
Features
- Suspension that really works: The tractor is much more stable and comfortable.
- Automatic leveling: Add front weights or a heavy implement, and the front returns to the right height by itself in a few seconds.
- Every brand with its own system: John Deere ILS and TLS, Fendt, Claas PROACTIV, Terraglide (Case IH / New Holland / Steyr), MF Quadlink, Valtra, Deutz-Fahr and McCormick. Each one behaves differently, some softer, some firmer.
- Driving modes:
- AUTO – levels by itself
- WORK – firmer when working in the field or when the front starts bouncing
- LOCKED – stiff axle for front loader work or heavy transport
- MANUAL – raise and lower the front yourself (only on JD ILS and Fendt, like in real life)
- Keys:
Ctrl+Alt+U– change modeCtrl+Alt+↑ / ↓– raise / lower the front (manual mode)
These keys can be changed in control options. - Only works on tractors that have this system in real life: medium and large tractors from the listed brands. Small tractors and crawlers stay as they are.
BETA VERSION
The mod is still being tested, especially in multiplayer. A lot of work needs to be done, but so far it is playable, and tweaks and fixes will be released from user feedback and suggestions. If you find a problem, please send the log.txt file. In multiplayer, the log from both the host and the player who joined is needed.
Changelog
- V2.0.3.2
Fix: articulated tractors (e.g. John Deere 9R, Case Steiger) leaned to one side when turning until the suspension hit its limit. On these tractors the front axle is now fixed, as in real life, where the oscillation is in the centre joint. Levelling still works. Thanks to MascotteCri for the report and the screenshot. - V2.0.3.1
Added compatibility with Realistic physics mod. - V2.0.2.1
New – Manual suspension choice per tractor model (window Left Alt + U > Vehicle > “Suspension for this model”): Auto / Levelling / Pendulum / Original. Saved for every vehicle of that model and applied at once.
Option “Manual height on all tractors” (window > Settings): gives manual height to systems that don’t have it in real life (e.g. John Deere TLS). Off by default, marked as not realistic.
Fixes – Tractors with their own vehicle type in the mod (e.g. converted John Deere 6M / 7M) got no suspension, no window and no keys.
Tractors whose front axle is a separate physics part: the axle now stays on the wheels and the chassis rises and lowers, so the suspension cylinders extend and retract with the height.
Tractors whose parts have no mass in the XML are no longer treated as light tractors (pendulum axle).
