The M1128 / M1296 Stryker M-SHORAD, or Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense System, is based on the 8×8 Stryker armored fighting vehicle chassis and combines mobile air defense, radar, targeting, and electronic warfare systems.
Features
- 8×8 Stryker Armored Fighting Vehicle Chassis: Built on the proven General Dynamics Land Systems 8×8 Stryker wheeled platform, featuring high cross-country speed, central tire inflation system (CTIS), and hydro-gas suspension.
- Integrated Moog RIwP (Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform) Turret: Outfitted with an unmanned multi-mission turret housing a 30mm XM914 Bushmaster II automatic cannon, 7.62mm M240 coaxial machine gun, launch pods for Stinger short-range anti-air missiles, and Longbow Hellfire / AGMS anti-vehicle missiles.
- Hemispheric Phased-Array Radar Suite (RADA RPS-42): Features four multi-mission AESA radar panels mounted around the vehicle hull for full 360-degree target search, identification, and tracking of low-altitude threats.
- EO/IR Sight & Electronic Warfare Integration: Outfitted with high-resolution MX-GCS electro-optical/infrared targeting sensors and jammer modules for detecting and neutralizing counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS).
- Maneuver Air Defense: Designed to move alongside Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCT) and armored columns to protect ground forces from low-altitude air threats.
- Multi-Domain Threat Neutralization: Simultaneously engages unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), rotary-wing aircraft, low-flying fixed-wing attack jets, and light armored ground targets.
- High-Mobility Point Defense: Replaces legacy towed or static air defense units with a rapidly deployable, highly mobile platform capable of engaging targets on the move.
- Complex Multi-System Turret Kinematics: Features detailed mechanical animations for turret elevation, 360-degree rotation, radar panel integration, and missile pod deployment.
- Modern NATO Air Defense Node: Provides a modern Western short-range air defense asset to balance high-end strategic systems such as the 50P6E Vityaz and MZKT platforms in your asset catalog.
