With this Load Screen Cancel script, press the “Esc” button while your game is loading to return to the main screen. It starts the game again without playing through the opening video scenes, and the process takes roughly 10-25 seconds, depending on how many mods you have installed.
It has to return to the main screen because data files are cleared from the loading game. Returning to the enable mod screen does not clear the data files that have already started loading for that game, which will cause the game not to load.
