The 9K37 «Buk» missile system (Russian: 9K37 «Бук», Spanish: “haya”; NATO designation: SA-11 Gadfly, SA-17 Grizzly) is an air defense system, armed with surface-to-air missiles, developed by the Soviet Union and later by Russia. It was designed to intercept cruise missiles, smart bombs and aircraft, manned or unmanned.[1]
